The idea

Duolingo-style learning, but the content is adult.

Most "learning apps" for grown-ups are just videos with a quiz bolted on. reps. is built the other way round: you're doing something every card or two, and every lesson is engineered to land exactly one idea.

3′

Three minutes, start to finish

Every lesson is 8–12 cards — one hook, a few concepts, four or more things you actually do, one win. Short enough for a coffee queue. Complete enough to matter.

It re-asks what you got wrong

Missed cards come back at the end of the lesson, then again after a day and after a week. Spaced repetition is doing the real work in the background.

Streaks, XP and a reason to return

Daily goals, streak freezes, credits, daily quests and speed challenges. The game layer exists for one reason: getting you to come back tomorrow.

Eleven kinds of card

You act every card or two.

Never two reading screens in a row. That's the whole mechanic.

Concept — the idea, in 240 characters Multiple choice Scenario — what would you actually do? Numeric — type the answer on a keypad Select all that apply Fill in the blank Sort into buckets Tap the diagram Order the steps Speed round — 6 seconds a call Win screen

The library

42 courses. 264 lessons. 219 hand-drawn diagrams.

Money, technology, building things, and the life skills nobody taught you. Every course is free, and new ones land regularly.

Put it on your phone

reps. installs from your browser in about 20 seconds.

It's a Progressive Web App — a website that installs like a real app. No App Store, no Play Store, no account required to start. You get a home-screen icon, a full-screen app with no browser bars, and lessons that keep working with no signal.

iPhone & iPad

You must use Safari — on iOS, Chrome and Firefox can't install web apps.

  1. Open the app in Safari Go to app.reps.school
  2. Tap the Share button The square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen (or top-right on iPad).
  3. Scroll down to "Add to Home Screen" It's below the row of share targets, in the list with Bookmark and Find on Page.
  4. Tap "Add" Top-right corner. You can rename it first if you like.
  5. Open it from your home screen The reps. icon is now on your home screen and launches full-screen.

Android

Use Chrome (Samsung Internet, Edge and Brave work the same way).

  1. Open the app in Chrome Go to app.reps.school
  2. Look for the install prompt Chrome often shows an "Install app" banner on its own — if it does, tap it and you're done.
  3. Otherwise, open the menu Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen" The wording depends on your Chrome version — both do the same thing.
  5. Confirm with "Install" reps. lands in your app drawer and on your home screen like any other app.

On a laptop? In Chrome or Edge, open the app and click the small install icon (a monitor with a down-arrow) at the right-hand end of the address bar — or use the menu → Cast, save and shareInstall page as app. Safari on macOS: FileAdd to Dock.

Questions

The short answers.

Is it actually free?

Yes. All 42 courses, all 264 lessons, no ads, no trial timer, no credit card. There's nothing to buy right now.

Do I need an account?

You'll create one to save your progress across devices and appear on the leaderboard. It's an email and a password, or sign in with Google — that's the whole thing.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Once installed, the whole app is cached on your device. Lessons, diagrams and your streak all work on a plane or in a basement; XP syncs the next time you're online.

Why isn't it in the App Store?

It doesn't need to be. reps. is a Progressive Web App: it installs directly from your browser, updates instantly with no download, and takes up a fraction of the space. Same icon on your home screen, same full-screen experience.

How long is a lesson, really?

Three to six minutes. Eight to twelve cards, and you're interacting on most of them. It's designed to be finishable in a queue — not something you have to schedule.

Is the finance content investment advice?

No. The money courses teach how things work — what a fee is, how compounding behaves, how a credit score is built. They never recommend a specific stock, fund or product, and they aren't a substitute for a professional who knows your situation.

Who makes this?

An independent developer, built for adults who want to actually understand things rather than watch a video about them. There's a kids' version too, called Batch.

Three minutes a day is a real education.

Pick a course, do one lesson, and see whether it sticks. Nothing to install first.
